History

Willow Run Egg Truck

Then...

Founded in 1949, Willow Run Foods began as a small egg delivery business. The company grew over the years serving "Mom and Pop" restaurants, bakeries, and schools. In the late 1970's and early 1980's Willow Run Foods began serving small restaurant and convenience store chains. By 1981 Wendy's had become part of the company's customer base.

In 1989, Willow Run Foods became an ESOP (employee owned) company which truly sets us apart from our competitors. Two years later we sold our street sales division and moved exclusively into systems distribution branching out across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets.

...and Now

Our company relocated into a state-of-the-art distribution center located in Kirkwood, New York in 1999. Since then we have doubled the size of the freezer, cooler, and dry areas along with additions to our office and maintenance areas.

The March 2003 ID Management Report ranked Willow Run Foods as the 5th largest systems distributor in the nation with sales in excess of $258 million. This year Willow Run Foods sales exceeded $450 million.
